Golf As It Was
by Gabe Vanonte

You only need to watch golf for a few tournaments where the
pros sweep the course to get the golf bug. Suddenly you
decide you want to learn to play. How hard can it be
right?

Get ready for the surprise of your life.It really looks
simple, the game of golf. You put the golf ball on a tee,
take your driver and hit it. Right? Before you run out and
purchase the most expensive set of golf clubs, golf balls,
and other golf wares, be sure to test the course a bit.

Anyone can learn to play golf and when someone does they
generally enjoy it. The are learn to play centers
everywhere now and for the most part it doesn't have to be
expensive or time consuming considering you can hire a cart
if you don't want to walk the course.

Golf is always more tiring for beginners because they tend
to travel further on the course. Beginners also tend to see
the valleys and hills and bunkers and water traps more than
the pros too. This is because the golf ball is almost
uncontrollable when you are learning and so you have to go
scouting for it more often.

The main point here is that while golf is a wonderful game,
loved by all who survive it, in the beginning there is a
lot to learn and accomplish in such a seemingly short time.
Everyone wants to go play, they don't just want to go to
the driving range and hit the golf balls to learn.

So what ever you do don't go buying expensive golf clubs,
golf balls, golf bags, golf shoes, or even golf lessons
until you know that you really love it. Borrow some from
friends or buy inexpensive second hand items to use until
you know you are going to stick with it.

As a beginner, you will get plenty of advice. Take from
this what you need to and as for the rest well just remember
this - the entire aim of the game is simply to get the ball
into the hole on the green in as few strokes as you can.
It's that simple.
